I don't think we're gonna make it chief.
We started a little late and the waiter at lunch wasn't quite on the ball. We are going to try and make it into Oklahoma and then stop for the night. I think we have about 200 miles to go.

I didn't figure you would after hearing when you left. I've made that trip 3 times round trip since the first of July. I know every pot hole in the road. Joplin would be your best bet for lodging. After you hit Oklahoma, there won't be much for nearly 100 miles.
well i suddenly feel like an asshat! lol.. i was whining about my 4 hour drive on monday to go to SEMA.... suddenly it doesnt seem so far
4 hours must seem like one blink to you guys!! drive safe! see you all at SEMA!

My wife asked me last night why I wasn't going. Uh,,,,I was gone for 22 days while playing in Ohio. I might be seing a ***** in her armor. Maybe, 3 Amigos need another vehicle in the caravan. Hmmm...
Where are you guys and how much time do I have to get my bag ready. I still have to fill up the truck and get some cash.

Wow guys! What an awesome day so far!! We woke up an hour early because we forgot about day light savings time. Got ready and made our way to Waffle House for some breakfast. after that we got on the road. We quickly decided to detour and cruise along Route 66. Wow am I glad we did. We cruised along and saw some very cool old sites. We stopped at this old gas station to take some pictures and we started talking to this guy for probably a half hour. He was telling us the history of Rt. 66 and talking about all the different towns along the it. He then gave us a tour of the gas station. There was so much history at this place. He then hooked us up with some Rt. 66 Root Beer. I'm not a big root beer fan, but this stuff tasted great!
Anyways, on to the pictures!
Waffle House in the morning.

Here is a building that we were told was a casket company and mortuary.
