Race Gas vs. Meth injection

I am trying to start this thread to see what people prefer. I am running meth injection in my evo and am pretty satisfied with it. However i think that race gas would be better sometime because i wouldnt have to worry about all these bells and whistles, and alarms going off and stuff. What are some of the pro's and cons of each? What are your thoughts on them?

How about the price difference between meth and race gas?

That alone is the deal breaker for me!

yeah i understand the price difference. I just dont drive my evo that much so i could afford the race gas. Thats why im thinking of switching over. I would just like to know a little more about the contrast of each. I couldnt find another thread comparing the two of them.

Well I am a meth junkie and with a proper failsafe you should be fine, but anything can happen and thats the risk you take for cheap power and I mean cheap. I know that is one of the main reason i went meth because of the avalibility and price. I can only imagine spending 80+ bucks for race gas every fill. If youre a track only car and have the money then race gas would be ur best bet or if you dont daily drive your vehicle it would cost wise anyway. just my .02

If money were no issue, 116 octane trumps the guestimated 104 or so blend of meth and pump. Look at the difference in trap speeds with people going from meth to race juice. Sometimes 10-15mph or more!

And you gotta love the smell of leaded fuel!

Just got 10 gallons fresh in the garage

I read that VP M1 Meth and 93 pump is 113 octane so its very close to race fuel and ALOT cheaper. The place I get my M1 from has C16 on the pump and other stuff and its mad exspensive

You might want to look into E85, cheaper than pump gas. I think its common in your area.

ok just checked it out and there is one gas station about 5 minutes from me and another one about 40 minutes from me. I will ask my tuner about this and see if going to e85 from my current set up will be a loss or gain in power.

The only real downside to it, other then finding a station, is the amount of fuel that is required. Your MPG will be horrible and you'll need larger injectors and adequate fuel supply.
