Idling issue, please advise me. Possible battery related?

Before today my car was running perfectly fine. Today my battery went dead, and I had a buddy jump me. This threw my turbo timer out of wack, so I disconnected the battery then reconnected it. This fixed my turbo timer problem, but now my car dips from 1,100 rpm to 200! It does not stall, but dips so low it seems like it's going to. The car was not doing this in the slightest bit until the moment I disconnected my battery. What could have happened? Please help, I'm starting to think this car is a lemon. I'm so frustrated right now.
