EVO IX Front Bumper

On the front bumper there are two little (quarter sized) covers that I guess are access holes for bolts (not sure what they are for?). Anyhow I went for a drive today and parked the car for about an hour (kid had a soccer game). When I got back I noticed one of the little covers was gone. I can't imagine one of those blowing of during driving. Has that ever happened to anyone? I don't know why someone would steal one though.

I'm hoping I can just order it as a stand alone part and it comes pre-painted? Anyone ever replaced those?

Thx.

Never happen to me... but it's possible if you have removed it too many times before... it may have became loose and the wind could have blew it off.

I've taken off those covers many times for front bumper removal. Doubt they would fall off during driving or windforce. I personally think another person took them for their Evo =X

If you take them out too many times, they will get loose and could possibly fall out on a bump.

Or, maybe you thought you put it in right but really didn't.

I'm thinking someone jacked it, cause it has never been taken off and wouldn't be loose for any reason. People are messed up man!

Hopefull I can order a couple, I'll keep one just in case it happens again.

I've had to replace 2 of mine .
First one was lost on the road somewhere and the second someone jacked at a car show.

here's the part #'s..
There is a left and right side hence the 2 numbers.

Left side - 6400A391HB [Dr. side]
Right side - 6400A392HB [Pass. side]

These little oval covers come already painted as you can see the part number has my Graphite Grey Pearl A39 paint code in it.
So your color would be in the middle like mine..
6400"your code"1HB for the left side
or 6400"your code"2HB for the right side.

All Paint Codes:
Apex Silver A31
Blue By You T10 (same as Pacific Blue)
Electric Blue T70
Graphite Gray A39
Lightning Yellow Y01
Rally Red P85 (same as Phoenix Red)
Tarmac Black X42 (same as Labrador Black)
Weightless White W83 (same as Innsbruck White)
Wicked White W37 (same as Igloo White)

I didn't quite see the importance of leaving those bolts in, I actually just removed them so I didn't have to keep popping off the clips everytime I need to take off the front bumper, makes it much easier to take off and put on for advice for those who have problems with the clips, also I'd suggest maybe superglue them shut afterwards?

Sick9, thanks for the info and part numbers. Question; Is left side the driver side or is it based on the side looking at the bumer?
