Well, it's here...
Just got my brand new white EVO this morning from SC and drove it back to VA
All I can say is HELLA F*$@ing nice! I love this car!!
The clutch does feel a little squishy - I asked the dealership about the clutch line and he wasn't sure if anything had been fixed but he "thought" that they had taken the keys to all 6 of their EVO's and did some work to them due to a TSB. He thought the TSB was about the rubber clutch line (to be replaced with metal braided). He's going to verify that and get back to me Monday.
The dealership was pretty cool, went to Jim Hudson Mitsu in Columbia, SC. Got it for like 50 bux over invoice, and they were great in helping me out with any questions. They have 4 more on the lot (was selling another one today) so if you guys need a good dealer to pick up a new one from, there ya go! Ask for Rob Sharpley or Dupree Coleman!
Other than that, the power is just *****-on, especially at 75, just a blip of the throttle will get ya 5-10 more passing MPH.
Oh yeah, they did tell me that dropping the sythetic WILL void your warranty, so I decided against it, although I did do some of the "proper" break in techniques listed under Motoman's website ( http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm ).
Next goal is to get the braided line (if Mitsu isn't gonna do it) and install that. Then maybe some computer work
My fiance' followed me back up to VA from SC, and she mentioned that every time I got on it a little it puffed some black smoke (running rich).
Anyways, that's it so far, I need to go cruisin a bit!!

tsb
Hey, i live in maryland and got my evo from jim hudson. great guys. i bet the tsb was about the recall on the undercarrage sealing around the wiring harness. i don't think mitsu is doing anything about the clutch in any way... yet. i've got 2500 mi on mine now and still makes me grin everytime i get in
have fun!
have fun!
yes, TSB = Technical Service Bulletin
Was funny, I stopped at a Wendy's on the way up here to VA, and some kid (teenager) got out his camera and was taking pictures of mah ride
Got all kinds of head turns on the highway, too
Amazing car, glad it finally made it to our shores
