I go to Shell most of the time. Other times I'm sure to go to any other station on the top tier list. All of these posts and no one has mentioned top tier gas stations. I work for a German car company and we preach top tier gas to all of our customers. Here is the site-www.toptiergas.com
Very good info. and take it seriously! You wouldn't want to put a bunch of crap in your body would you? So don't put it in your "love on wheels"

TOP TIER Gasoline Retailers:

QuikTrip
Chevron
Texaco
MFA Oil Co.
Conoco
Phillips 66
76
Entec Stations
Shell
The Somerset Refinery, Inc.
Kwik Trip / Kwik Star
Aloha Petroleum
Tri-Par Oil Co.
Turkey Hill Minit Markets
Mileage Stations
Chevron Canada
Shell Canada
Petro-Canada
Sunoco Canada

I'm pretty sure Conoco / Phillips 66 and 76 are all the same.

Anyways... funny I don't see BP on that list. I've always heard of BP being total crap (never used it though). I see a lot of people on this thread that mention they use it. You sure you want to keep using it?

... I'll admit, it's been some number of years since I've seen a BP station. But when they WERE here they were the equivalent of Arco / AM PM. Has anything changed in the last 10 years?

Chevron here, anyone know if Valero is any good? I see a lot of those around here in Los Angeles, and they are cheap.

I buy whatever, but tend to end up with Shell or on post PX gas station mostly.

I have used Valero and never had a problem either. Valero is based in San Antonio and is the largest refiner in North America. Valero has branded itself as a "premium" gas retailer like exxon, shell or texaco.
