If it's the RS that the Japs and the Brits get than it might be worth it. It may lack ayc, a/c, stereo and power windows but it will have ACD which is good.

So utterly pointless and market-less. Would rather see the current even more appropriately priced for the quality it bears at around $26k, and a $32k Evo brought out with higher-quality interior and components.

Options are good. It's good to see them doing this. I just hope they offer a range that is acceptable enough. the 350z range is pretty good. From the 26k look at me version to the 35k I'm hear to have seriosu fun Track version. That would be nice to see with the Evo.

a 35K Sequential Manual Transmission Lightweight Aero improved Evo would rock!

As would a 26k Evo with less expensive brakes and tires for the drag racers, heh.

Here's a pic of the new Lancer, IMO looks rather fugly, good thing I got an '03! (hmm, limited production, blue (non-ES/LS/OZ color), evolution... yeah I think depreciation will be quite slow)

Yes, the cheapest Evo, which would be owned primarily by teenagers and ... others ... should come with a diamond-carbide clutch so they can ride their clutch all day long with no wear issues.

I want an evo RS. LOL the evo VII RS sprint II lost alot of wieght and runs Quarter mile in 13.0 flat, which is really nice. was .4 seconds faster than a GSR. .2 seconds faster than a skyline R34. The wieght saving can help alot, the RS sprint 2 als0 put out aronu 300-320 hp. Hopefully the US RS version will boast better quarter mile and track times. I still prefer VII over an 8 thou.

Guys...Think of it this way. If you are worried about A/C, radio, power this and that then buy the standard Evo. If you want a purist's car that is nothing more than a street legal racer then buy the RS, but be prepared to pay.

Other companies that do this are

BMW with the CSL and the older M-3 lightweights and Porsche with the GT-3. Granted the Evo isn't in those cars price range, but it would offer just as much fun.

The car isn't for cry babies that can't take heat or cold and AGAIN!

IT"S NOT A DRAG CAR.

Looks like a stripped Evo 9. Evo 9 will resemble the new Lancer look.

IMO, it looks ..... can't really put a word on the new design. One word,
