I would definitely get him a Manual Boost Controller $50-150 and a turbo xs intake$100. Two very important beginning upgrades!

an intake is not an important upgrade until the day before you get tuned

the mitsubishi dealership has some really nice evo shirts for around 20 bucks. They've even got some nice die cast cars (not of the evo 8s or 9s though...)
