It probably had a slipping clutch, this idiot didn't know how to drive it, or because of the power curve it felt "smooth" to him, and therefore didn't feel fast.Lord knows my car feels slow as hell. So did my uncle's '08 C4S when I drove it. The joys of a smooth powerband
I guess I didn't realize the 9's were that smooth!

I just test drove the 06 evo mr and wow. i was disapointed.. i felt more power come out of my toyota.. haha
the lag in the turbo wasso bad and it wasnt a race feel it was a luxory feel to smooth for my taste i was very very disapointed.
does any1 no if the evo i drove was just ****ty or sumthin it had only 17000 miles on it. just it wasnt hitting anythinggood..
i mean top end it was quick but arent those cars supost 2 be quick on both ends

what do u expect with turbo kid? for it to kick in at 1.5k rpm? LOL even the sequential turbos of a supra dont go that low. Toyota faster than an Evo? BS i call unless its a modded Supra with a turbo.
i have an 06 IX SE...it does just fine in mid to high rpm. low end is not as much but once that turbo starts to spool around 2.5k rpm...that feeling of being thrusted back into your seats is ORGASMIC
either you drive really ****ty since ur an inexperienced stick shift driver or the car you bought was ****ty....or you sir are talking out your ***....
you should NOT buy a turbo car if ur gonna complain about turbo lag....every form of induction has its ups and downs...deal with it. want low end power? get a stupid domestic V8 or a Cobalt SS LOL!!. or buy a Scion TC and put a supercharger in it
<3
I felt no real difference and took both cars up to 80-90 shifting at 6k.
I just bought an '06 EVO MR, and I have absolutely no complaints. I also just came from a BPU 3000GT VR4. The Evo feels just as fast, if not quicker. If you complain about the quickness of cars like this, then you are either a fool, or just used to faster cars.
It's the low-boost, partial throttle difference the mivec makes between 2-3k rpm. It wasn't a deciding factor for me when I bought the car, I just wanted the top of the line one with no miles on it but that isn't really what this thread is about.
