Evo consumer review from Cars.com

I was just randomly checking out some reviews on cars.com from the 2006 EVO MR, and some clown wrote this:

"I own an 2006 evolution IX MR the car is pretty quick but i raced my friend while he was driving my other car which is a dodge caliber manual 5 speed transmission with 153 hp!!!!! my friend put the caliber in 5 gear and i put my evo into 6th gear and we drove for atleast a mile and he took me right off the line. so the evo is useless without its turbo. dont get me wrong i like this car a lot etc.... but a car that doesnt use a turbo responds more better. thanks for reading."

First of all, he says "off the line" like they are starting from a standstill yet they're in 5th and 6th gear?

He also claims the EVO to be pretty quick, but a piece of crap Caliber with half of the horsepower is faster? His story seems impossible

I dont know, just thought I'd share. Bored

I think they did a test on Top gear similar to this. That guy needs to sell his MR fast and get a SRT4 no turbo lag FTW!

turbo lag = your enemy...and yes this was on the episode of Top Gear that featured the FQ400 model. went head to head with a minivan doing a 30 mph roll and floored it in final gear....the evo didnt start picking up till like 10 seconds later lol

but who drives like that seriously? 5th or 6th gear going at a low speed?......

that person's review is contradicting in itself

Top gear also did a test with Jeremy Clarkson driving the FQ and a professional road course driver piloting a murcielago. The outcome was awesome. Not trying to change this tread but it was an awesome episode.

Same episode, IIRC. The top-gear roll test followed the Lambo race. And yeah, that's a great test for a turbo car.

The guy that wrote that review is a Genius I bet. Just goes to show you how well educated some of these American retards are.

First of all you don't buy a Evo to put it in 6th Gear at 30 MPH and start racing other cars. F*** Idiot. The Evo was made for High revs and it can do that better then any other car in the world. The crap he calls Dodge soon to be out of business, is designed for low end because it does not need any top end since the car is strugling to get up to 100 mph. Even the regular Lancer would be faster then the Evo if you compare the cars in that way.

Sencond of all, I can't believe I wasted all this time to write about a retard who doesn't even own a Evo for sure and just says he does.

Last thing, I love my Evo and I will defend this car to death. I love it, if anyone wants to take on me bring it

ugh i can't believe i'm even responding to this. the guy is obviously a tard. he's saying they drove for at least a mile.... don't know about you guys but from a roll at any speed and having my car in 6th by time i have traveled a mile i would be going 120+ while the lame caliber would be lucky to even still be in my rear view mirror.... sounds like this guy would be dumb enough to try and launch the car in 3rd and even if he got it moving complain it didn't start picking up speed until he was going about 40 miles an hour. lol. "a car that doesn't use a turbo responds more better" MORE BETTER! I couldnt have said it better myself.
