So my spoiler is toast all faded clear coat all coming off and I am having trouble deciding if I should get a replacement thats an all CF spoiler or should I say eff the wing and just get a CF trunk? Thanks in advance for your input

depending on the car and if there is warranty left then you might be able to get it replaced by mitsu

 

So the clear on your oem wing is fadding? I say you fix the wing, especially if its a 03-05 wing because I believe those were completely carbon fiber, so you can sand the paint off the sides and there will be carbon fiber underneath.

The CF trunk is wicked! You can always switch trunks depending on your mood.

 

I think you should skip it, and go with a CF Lip. Maybe it'll take away the attention from the fading spoiler.

 

Why not rock the CF trunk and no wing? Less attention from cops that way?

 

i say just redo the wing in another clear coat and be happy thats what im gonna do

 

Fix the wing, sand the side of the wing down, and then get a trunk.

 

Re-clear the wing yourself and buy the CF Trunk.

 

here is my opinion.. and what i did... just sand down the clear coat... took me about.. . 20 minutes.... it looks great even without clearcoating it... i just sprayed clearcoat from a can and it looks good... sell it for 250, and then use that to help with your trunk!!

no warranty its 5 yr old and just a touch over 60k, bought it that way so I dont have to jack with warranty bs when it comes to mods lol



Ya i like the painted sides but if it's gonna cost a couple hundred to get it recleared i would rather spend a few more bucks and get a CF trunk... I love the wing, but pretty much everyone here has one on there Evo and I am big on being different where no one has a CF trunk here..Also I already got the IX tails so i think it would just look really clean

This is what I am leaning towards I just wanted everyone elses opinions on it as well.

What you need to do is get rid of this license-plate-in-grille thingy. You no longer need a front license plate in Texas.
