G-Tech Pro

Sup fellas..I'm not affiliated with this seller in any way. I was looking for a G-Tech Pro and I stumbled onto this ebay seller. It was so cheap, I had to get one. I'll tell everyone if it is the real deal when I get it.

Looks like they've come down in price since your post:

How 'bout $49? I just picked one up.

They can monitor your RPM's off your cigarette lighter plug? That's all you plug it up to, so it says.

I think this is for the old unit that you had before. The newer units has more eyecandy and a rpm guage+shift light but cost around $200

I have the original style, and paid $130 for it years ago. For $50 bucks its a steal! I think the recent launch of competing accelerometers, and even G-techs new competition model has driven the pricce down.

I recently saw a performance data graph that was evidently the data dump to a pc from a Gtech pro competition. Very cool stuff indeed for just around $200 bucks!

I have played with both. The first generation cant hold a candle to what the new style does. You get what you payfor.

I read a few reviews and theres one guy who took the gtech to the drag strip and compared the numbers after a few runs. Its not off by much so its definitely not 100% accurate but can be useful in determining how well mods do before going to the dyno.

As long as you run on a perfectly flat road, have the exact measurements/calibrations (RPM, Gs, Weight including gas, driver, etc.) they can get pretty darn accurate. I've noticed that the trap speeds tend to be a little high, but often the E/T has been exact when compared to the same time @ the track.
