My EVO=Graduation gift/xmas/bday for the next couple of years or so
i disagree with that. if his parents feel he deserves the car for working hard through school and college, then they have every right to buy him the car. its not like the car just fell out of mid air into his driveway and was the lucky evo winner of the year. his PARENTS feel he deserves it so they bought it for him. nothing wrong with that.
and just cause he doesnt pay for the car, doesnt mean he doesnt know how to drive it and will wreck..... them posts are just plain stupid. i love how jealous people get when these topics come up. people think they work harder then others for their car just cause they are going broke trying to afford it.
congrats man, have fun with the car. what college you going to? what degree you looking to get. college is the best thing out there right now. ill be going soon

If it makes you feel any better I bought my first car too! Also, your mom doesn't have to be rich to buy you an Evo (it's called financing).

good buy man, if you are in college and work hard for what you do, then why should you be denied something that you love and that is accessible to you. My little brother, still in high school though, also does track and trains every single day for the season to start. So my parents bought him a car, so what? he's the county champion, a good student and good kid, why cant he have a nice car right?
ignore that haters man, you DEFINITELY deserve that car as I can relate from in high school when I played 3 sports and it was a lot of work, and i worked part time at my church. Did my parents help me out? Yea, and I also learned to drive a 497whp 2004 Evo with 21miles for 23k. beautiful car. And for the record, I paid well over half for the car, in full, from a small business i opened up with a friend. And I am now studying entrepreneurship and finance at Baylor University in Texas.
Sounds like a good deal to me! Congrats on your evo! Mine was a little cheaper, had double the miles, but I also got a set of snow tires/rims, radar jammer, and a prewired escort system.
good luck wit the car, as many said before dont mind the haters... your family and yourself are fortunate that you can afford nice things such as your evo, congrats! but as a fair warning it is alot of car and it will take some getting used to, not saying you are immature and cant handle it but just a very powerful car, treat it right and you will never give it up!
If you think you are responsible and mature enough the one advice I can give you is, watch out for other idiots out in the roads. There are countless of morons out there and any small crash with our cars can be considered for "totaling", i know this because i have dealt with some of these people
. Be careful and have fun, the evo will put a grin on your face every time you drive it.

Enjoy the car, don't crash it like all the other newbs on here.
