BR FMIC testing completed.....

Hi all,

We just got to the track with the new FMIC installed on our EVO8.

The results were impressive considering the car still has the stock turbo, manifold, 02 housing, fuel system and cams still in it.

I already made a post of what the kit consists of, the size and such on here. More information can be found on our site at www.buschurracing.com

My previous best in the car was a 12.48 at 110.74 mph. Kevin's best in the car was a 12.42 at 111.20 mph.

We ran the car last Friday night, Kevin was there with us making passes in our 8 second 4G63 Conquest.

We made 6 passes in the car. The worst pass of the night belonged to me with a 12.38 at 110 mph. My best pass was a 12.37 at 112.2 mph. Kevin got in and his worst pass was a 12.32 at 112 mph. His best pass was a 12.26 at 112.47 mph.

This was over a tenth of a second improvement for both of us and over a 1.5 mph gain for both of us. This makes me think the FMIC although over kill at this point is worth about 15 Hp to the wheels. We have not dyno'd the car and probably won't with just the FMIC on it.

Next thing we are adding to the car will be the camshafts.

Thanks for reading,

I believe he puts ina 2WD tranny to dyno it, so thats the trouble, plus it doesn't compare with any of the other 4WD dyno graphs people use.

700 bucks isn't that much considering it comes with all of the piping too. (at least that's what I've heard)

The entire kit with the FMIC, new lower i/c plumbing and couplings is $750.

The problem with dyno'ing the car is we have a 2wd dyno and it is a PITA to convert the car each time we make a change.

The numbers speak for themselves from the track. With a 1.5 mph increase I will bet that the car gained right at 15 hp to the wheels.

Dave - if you want to send me one for 2 or 3 days - I'll be happy to have it dyno tested - and IF it makes more HP than my current intercooler I will buy one from you --- in any event I'll post up the dyno sheets and send it back to you
