I was wanting to make the clear turning lights on my evo IX tail lights. I want something that will look as close to the JDM MR tail lights while lasting a long time. I have read a few threads but my head hurts from reading through a lot of bs to find anything worth while. Thanks in advance!

 

theres a guy on here that sells orange vinyl that you put over the turn signal portion and it looked pretty good. I did it and turned out nice. I eventually found a deal for the real ones so got those

And yea the vinyl tape he mentions looks very good. But the trained eye will see the difference and i'd worry about it getting damaged and such if you daily drive your car.

 

Or just get the Evo VII tails. :P

me, i still have alot of that vinyl left its custom color matched to the jdm color.

if you guys need some vinyl i sell it in diy kits basically you cut it yourself and its self adhesive.

as far as a dd is concerned it will last a long time, almost 2 years on mine so far with little to no fading , constant washing etc. It's also depends on the quality of the cut on the edges which if course is all on you since its diy.

 

nice looking tails wit jdm amber... i got myself two sets of evo ix tails and a set of jdm replica tails one of me ix tails is broken due to motorcycle accident of mine =( but imma prop open my jdm swap out the amber and swap out the cover over to my broken set of ix tails cant wait

 

If they came amber we'd all be trying to figure out how to make 'em clear. Customizing cars is awesome.

LOL so true. Kind of annoys me actually. People really don't care what it is they are doing as long as its non-stock or JDM.
