If it is like my JDM VIII bumper then there are just the two threaded holes at the top. If you just mount it via the two top holes then the bottom of the licence plate rubs on the bumper and vibrates.

I bent up and cut a backing plate for the licence out of 1/4" aluminum sheet which uses the two provided threaded holes in the bumper. My backing plate allows the 4 holes in the licence plate to be used and is angled to keep the licence plate about a 1/2" away from the bumper, so there is no rubbing or vibrating.

I sprayed it black and cut the edge so that it doesn't protrude beyond the edge of the licence plate itself. So, it is not really visible. But it keeps the licence from touching the bumper which I didn't like at all.

I know....a picture is worth a thousand words. So, I'll see what I can do if you're interested.

the plate screws in the same way since you are using the same exact plate holder. You just have to bend the crap out of it to make it fit with the jdm.

it blows but what do you expect. 99% of these companies are on the west coast and these boxes that hold the bumper are HUGE as you can imagine.

There's a few vendors on this site located on the west coast who charge 40% less to ship them.

Advertising a great price and then raping people on shipping is getting kind of old.

Sweet. So the pic earlier in the thread with the jdm bumper w/ cobb tbe, was it shortened? Is that exhaust one that is a pita to keep clean and needs to be polished alot? It sounds so nice.
If there is one for the jdm bumper and one for the usdm, what are the pn's? Thanks for the help btw.

Also, I am interested in seeing pics of peoples' brackets for the license plate.

I've seen pics and it fits, but imo it sticks out a tad too far for my taste. There is a thread that is just for pics of exhausts on the jdm rear.

Do you have a link to a site with their part numbers? Sorry for having to have someone hold my hand. I'm just new to mitsu in a way. I've had an evo, but it was a long time ago and I've been into Hondas for a while.

just in case you missed it which im sure you did. Look on page 2 for my post. You can see how big this freaking box is. Its huge and takes up alot of space. so thats why shipping is a pain. You should know by now most companies overcharge for shipping recoup some loss of funds. best bet would be to get one from somebody that selling theres used and repaint. besides i see the price of this jdm rear is going up. better get it while you can. we cant all get one brand new for 500 shipped

I like the jdm bumper, but I can't spend that much money. Oh well, I still like my stock bumper and will have to make do with it.
