Went to the local drag strip last night

Well anyhow, I went to the local drag strip in Phoenix, AZ and the theme was imports vs. domestics. When I first got there I checked out the cars that were in the pits and to my dismay I didn't see any AWD turbo cars . So anyhow, I go to watch the cars race and out of nowhere comes a silver STI, which ran a 13.7. About 5 runs later a red evo lines up Anyhow his first run in the evo was a 14.8 !! After that two silver STIs line up again each other ! Now this was sweet. One ran a 13.7 again and the other ran a 13.3 (better driver). Finally, the red evo ran one more time and got a 13.6. I guess he got his act together. Anyhow that was the sweetest drag race I have ever attended. There was a 12.6 second wrx sedan there, as well as a 13 second wrx wagon.

-Edit-
BTW the Sti's were stock and the Evo only had a grounding kit.

The humidity was probably close to nill. Monsoon season is gone and everything dried up again. The temp was about 80 degrees at night (9P.M.).

I hate reading about people running 14.0 or worse in evo's. For some reason no one will ever remember his 13.6 and will be quoting the guys 14.8 instead.

At least he got his **** together at 13.6!

S2000 drivers could not get their cars down the strip very well either... 15.1, 14.8, etc......blaaa

Yup, there were about 2 or 3 SRT-4s, and an S2000. The fastest SRT-4 was like 15 seconds flat and one guy ran a 15.8, which was horrible. The S2000 driver ran a 16!!!! He must have been on some chronic. I know SRT-4s can get into the 14s, and so can the S2000 so I dunno what the hell were those driver's problems. And there were many drivers there that night that would roll over the start line and just sit there it was hilarious.
