Evo headlight adjustment???

Does anyone know how to adjust the Evo 8 headlights so the beans point a little higher? After I lowered the car the front seems to be pointing down more then stock and the beam of light points lower also, I was wondering if there is a screw that adjusts the headlights from nside the engine bay. ( I have the light switch adjustment from inside the cockpit on 0 ) but still the beam is low for me.

Thanks

IMO

If you find out how to do it let me know, mine are too low from the factory on 0. since they are motorized I hope there is an adjustment. You would think there would be, but who knows.

There is a gear behind each headlight that you have to use a flat head screw driver to turn...very difficult to do but attainable. Do a search and you will find several LONG threads on this process.

My suggestion would be to check the repair manual, I'm sure you can download it somewhere...my $.02

Instead of using flat head screwdriver, use a 10mm socket. It works much more better than screwdriver. Search the forum and you'll find tons of info.

I'm not sure if you need turn it clockwise or wise verse.

I would have the dealer do it next time its in. they have the alignment process down and can do it right, more than likley on their dime too.

Dealers are not allowed to change the headlight position due to liability issues if they do so.

Im amazed that this is the case. If the lights are out of alignment on a stock care for example you would think they would be required to adjust it - it should be tested prior to delivery.

All the settings from the factory are low on the Evo. The HID lights are very bright and if the have them to high from the factory they can run into all kinds of issues.

yup, two dealerships out here have already told me that they cannot adjust the headlights any higher, since it's at factory spec right now. Mitsu really messed this one up, cus in all honesty, we can just set the beams lower if need be with the elctric settings (even though i know it's to level off the beam due to various loads etc...)

it does suck, and it's a pain to adjust as well.

They ARE adjustable. I HAVE adjusted mine. It's just really tricky. I set mine where the 0 used to be, is now level 2. So I have 2 more steps higher. I usually keep it at 1.

There are a couple threads with pictures on it. It is adjustable with the 10mm phillips screwdriver and the gear looking thing right behind the lights. If a dealer says that they can't adjust them, that means they just won't. It IS possible.
