I would be worried about buying a seat over ebay. Isn't the safety rating part of the reason these are so expensive? I think it is like buying a motorcycle helmet ... you don't want something failing in a crash.

Sorry if that is off topic. I was wondering if this is a concern when buying used seats.

I actually have a set of knock off gias in the evo and I'm telling you right now, if you weigh more than 150 lbs you're not gonna like these seats.

My hips, waist and thighs hardly fit in the seats and although they are some of the best looking seats (knock off or not) I've ever seen, they are incredibly uncomfortable.

How low does it put you in the car? I'm wondering, when the time comes if I should get regular or the low cushion or w/e.
I'm over 150, I'm about 170 waist is about 33, I don't have terribly big thighs, but my shoulders don't fit very comfortably in the stock evo ix seat; they're too broad for me to sit back in the seat without kinda gettin scrunched in up there. So, how's the room up top as well?

It's a bit scrunched up up top as well.

My seats are mounted around 4-5 inches higher than they should be due to the fact that they come with the seat's brackets, universal bracket sliders then another Sparco bracket I needed to mount the seats to the car.

I'm planning on modifying the brackets to lower them but as crazy as it sounds I don't think they are that high to begin with.

4-5 inches higher than it should be???
Is the shoulder area smaller than the OEM recaro seat?
I wonder if the original piece will have smaller bracketing/fitting

If you buy the bride sliders made for the evo or fab up a set you could retain the stock height.

The reason they are so high is because of the mounts I bought.

BTW taken from the Sale:

Hi, I might be interested in the Bride seat seat you are selling. Do you have a Gias Low Max, black with gradiation, standard cushion? If so, how long will it take to get to Los Angeles California? Lastly, is this a replica or really good knock off? Thx Jan-24-09

A: This auction is the Black with Gradiation GIAS seat. Are you looking for Gias Sports with full blacjk and red stitching? Shipping would take approx 10-15 business days to arrive to your door. This is Genuine Bride seats and yes you are getting a real knock off. Before you bid please check with me on the in-stock inventory. Sometimes these are also sold locally so please check with us first before bidding, thank you.

Looks like he misunderstood the meaning of knock-off. Lots of times these guys are straight off the boat chinese & don't really speak english as well as most would like.
