Should I build a used head and swap it or do the one on my car?
Should I build a used head and swap it or do the one on my car?
So I was thinking that I will eventually would like to boost higher and build my engine, but my evo is also my daily driving car so I cannot let parked in the garage and work, thus what do u guys think the most efficient way of doing this build? I thought of couple of things, and would like to hear ur opinions on it:
1) Buy a used head, and work on it, in terms of changing lifters, springs, cams, rods, pistons…etc. then swap it out with my car and do the timming built all at once, figured this probably won’t take more than a day to do with the help of some of u. then either build the original head or sell it off to someone who would like to do the same.
So some of my questions are the following:
1) How much could I get a used head for? And I guess that would give me an idea of how much mine would worth when I sell it.
2) And how much would all of the parts above cost me not including the used head?
Thanks, and I appreciate all of ur comments.

rods and pistons aren't in the head
and search to find out how much everything is
honestly it sounds like you really don't know what you are getting yourself into and you should take it to a shop that knows what they are doing
no offense
