BAR Vs. PSI?

OK,

Why do Boost gauges often come in "BAR"? Is there a reasion why everyone likes bar and not psi?

sorry I'm just not educated in this area...

So whats a quick way to convert?
If they do come in PSI why do people still get Bar?

The entire world (except the US) uses the metric system, so there would be no pounds per square inch.....its ok for everyone else but you gotta do some converting when in the good ole US of A!

1 bar is equal to aproximately slightly more than 14 PSI...Have to find out the exactly coversion rate...

so why do people still get the BAR and not PSI?
I'm about to get a boost Gauge and I'm deciding on the HKS AC gauges but they are in bar...

the reason is becuase most companys who make good gauges are from Japan. if you buy autometer and other USA gauges you will get PSI. i think the only JDM company who has PSI gauges right now is DEFI and they are expensive and hard to come by. just get the BAR gauges, you will get used to it very soon and you will have very nice gauges

Bar is metric units, psi is engilsh units. Trust me, as I am an engineer, english units suck, especially when dealing with pressure in thermodynamics and fluid mechanics. The metric system is much easier to use. We are the only country that doesnt use it.
