HELP: Removing trunk springs

I need help removing the trunk springs. Anyone have any idea how to do this?

un-clip them in the middle and twist away with a long screw driver or pry bar or something

wear safety glasses...an extra set of hands can help

I would NOT do this if i was you. I did it before since i had a carbon fiber trunk and i hated it. Then once i put my oem trunk back on i put the springs back in and it SUCKS my friend about killed himself in the process.

To run a carbon trunk you have to do this. The carbon trunk weights next to nothing compared to an evo trunk with wing. It will not latch and stay closed with the springs still on.

If you did get it latched good luck opening it and not causing any serious damage.
