Wow, those APS air intake looks good. Highly recommended anyone to install it if you lived in an area where water is abundant. It will suck the water into your engine and make your engine run healthly.
I hope that they will not the that crappy UNICHIP that used to be sold with the WRX. Many people may remeber that COBB used to be the authorized importer/installer of APS, and they used to have 2kits for the WRX, a Club Spec, as well as a RT Spec. I know a lot of people who used these kits liked them, but there were always complaints about the UNICHIP being kind of $hitty. It looks like they will try to use that thing again, but there are much more sophisticated methods of engine control out there now. Also, I think that their website hasn't really changed much in 2 years. Yeah they might have added a new picture of a car, but anyone with an extra 10 minutes can do that, and then spend another 10 minutes to create a link that says something to the effect of,"Sorry, our products are currently under development." I say, "Put up, or shut up." Afterall, with all the quality EVO tuners already out there, who would want parts from an Austrailian company using primitive engine management, and with no performance specification to claim?
I thought it was intersting that the RT spec that they used to offer for the WRX was supposed to put out 320 hp at the CRANK, yet they claimed that this package was capable of rocketing the WRX to a 0-60 time of 4.34 SECONDS. From my experience on the Cobb forum, no one was even close to acheiving this kind of performance, a fact that was overlooked everyday be every member on that forum.
