HID help

I have an 05 evo viii that didn't come with HID's...just projector headlights. My friends got the HIDs off his 03 evo viii that I want to put in my car. Will it work with the harness i have in there now for the lighting? What do I need to do? couldn't find this info in any other threads

You would need some sort of adaptor since the non-HID headlight housing you have is built to accept a 9006 bulb whereas the 03 Evo's with HID accept a D2S bulb.

To my knowledge, no such adaptor exists.

Just get a HID system based on a 9006 bulb like 2.0Ldoom said.

I saw some kits going for 80 bucks on eBay. I don't know if they're good, but you can always try em out!

Is the car the SSL version? i think the MR & RS don't come w/ factory HID's, unless the previous owner changed the headlights
