noob question

Sorry.. I just got my first evo.. I tried searching but the question that I can't find answered is..

What happens if it rains like shxt and water gets into my engine bay while driving? Below is a pic of the vent.

If your nervous get the stock vent or even a ralliart vent you should be fine as is

Good question!!! I've always wondered the same thing.....But I don't have to worry since I like the look of my stock vent on.

yeah it looks like ur missing that second metal cover... i would get that if ur worried about rain, but even then u should be fine... its sorta like overkill...

Dealer ... but if you want to cover the "hole" up look into the ralliart aluminum hood vent. Cheaper I bet and looks nice.

I have never heard of a hydro-locked Evo. Let alone because of the vent cover. You're good to go.

i dont think it really matters, i just leave mine on come winter time because i dont want a ton of snow down on my engine otherwise its off
