WHAT?!? sorry to hear about your misfortune... i guess aslong as you dont have to pay a penny its not as bad... but that would be enough to ruin my week!
That's really unfortunate. It's really only the guy who was working on your car's fault--the manager seemed like he did everything he could from what I'm reading. Suing is a little bit too much I'd say.
I agree. As a tech myself, I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure a car is road-worthy before returning it to the customer. So, don't blame the shop, blame the tech. You should have no problems getting work done there, just make sure to tell them not to let that tech work on your car again. It is also highly likely that the tech was fired after the incident, I know I would be if I made such a massive mistake such as this. Drain plugs and lugnuts are the most important things to double check before finishing the work, any good tech worth his weight should know this. At least the manager was stand-up about the situation and took care of you.for crappy techs
as long as they are gonna pay for the damages like they said , but at the same times its a problem for u that u didnt expect, i always do the same catch myself saying ...should i say something when i see it not going my way b/c im afraid they will mess something up even more
wow...this could have ended a lot worse but situation still blows! I'll be bringing my torque wrench next time I get my wheels balanced. 80+-3 ft lbs as I recall.
