Does anyone know the full Evo VII (european) chassis codes? I need them to identify which tail lights will fit the USDM Evo VIII.

Apparently there are 3 different codes.

all Evo 7 tail lights will fit the 8... they are all the same size/shape, and have all the same connections

 

That's kind of what I figured, I'll see what my guy says about that.

 

CT9A.....I have never heard of different codes for the Evo VII chasis.

Evo IV and V chasis code is CP9A

I can;t remember what Evo VI is

Evo VII and VIII chasis code is CT9A

This chasis code is the same for USDM, JDM, UKDM, WhateverDM.

FYI...Although remember if they are european you will have only 1 back up light as the other side will be a fog light
Only the japanese tails on the 7 have both reversing lights

 

limey, interesting, I hadn't thought of that. For some reason I thought the fog was in the trunk lid somewhere.

 

They are in the rear bumper on the Evo 8.

The FQ300 has 300hp eh?! Blast.

 

FQ-300 has these add ons:

HKS hard intercooler pipes

HKS Dragger exhaust

Retuned ECU (possibly the Ralliart ECU, minus the anti-lag feature).

Is it a full turboback, cat-back, muffler? What's the deal there?

 

I would only be able to guess that it is only a catback. The reason I say this is because it only has 30 HP over a regular Evo. With ECU remapping, you should be able to get 30 HP alone, then you also have IC piping upgrade and exhaust upgrade, so it can't be a turboback exhaust. I have heard rumor that Shiv from Vishnu helped tune the ECU on the FQ-300, which might mean that the car has a full turbo back exhaust, upgraded IC pipes, and then a crappy tune job - courtesy of Vishnu (just kidding).

Evo 8 in the UK and europe do have a fog lamp in the bumper next to the licence plate.....
I simply replied to this thread that was started by asking about the 7 tail lights.....I have UK rears on my evo and it has a fog on the passenger side...
If however you managed to source you 7 tails from a european country that drives on the right as we do in the states...your fog light would be on the drivers side..........
Japanese tails have back up lights both sides and no fog on the 7
