4.4 second 0-60 in my evo

Hey the other night i managed to pull off a 4.4 second 0-60 in my evo 8 WITH a 180 lb friend and all my stereo equipment in the back. Finally got a good launch. The mods i had at the time were, rmr catback exhaust, forge recirc blowoff valve that was set improperly, and a grounding kit. I used my HKS-type 1 turbo timer to time it and it is COMPLETELY accurate. It has a digital stopwatch and thats the second my tires move and the speedreading on it is always accurate, so basically it starts the watch when my tires start rolling and stops itwhen i hit 60. Not too shabby for an almost stock evo.

the timing portion of the HKS may be accurate, but how accurately it hits the 60mph mark is still questionable in my opinion. I agree with evo11v, it does sound a bit fishy. But a timeslip would shut us all up

Its based on the speed sensor. I have the same turbo timer and its 1/4 is not accurate at all.

Yeah, my Sentra did to 60 in 5.5 seconds using my stopwatch the other day. I was also carrying a cemnet block inthe trunk!

although the 1/4 is not accurate, technically the 0-60 should be very accurate because you tap into the speedo wire out of the ECU so technically it should be dead on accurate... although i'd like to see a picture of the TT with that time, that's amazing for a amateur

I came to find out that the 1/4 time is 5/10ths fast on the timer than in real life... That could only mean that the 0-60 is about the same.. Since they are tapped into the speed wire... So just add another 5/10ths and you have your real time... BTW, there is NO WAY a stock EVO will put out that time, with all that weight... You'd have to strip that ***** down..
