Hi guys, this is my first time posting, and I'm sure you've discussed this before, but will the U.S. spec Evo 7 have the same exact awd/4wd mechanism as the japan spec? I'm right about to buy a left-hand japan spec evo 7 (with warranty from evo imports) for about 40K, and I wanted to know if i should just wait and modify the engine of the U.S. spec version, or just go ahead and get the japan spec.

I don't see the purpose of importing a 7 anymore considering we are getting it within a year.

If the USDM EVO don't have ACD and AYC......it just a 4 door eclipse for me. I used to own a 96 GSX and I don't think I will buy another one.

well they both have the same engine, same turbo, and awd yes? so what if the gsx engine isnt as tuned as the evos...shouldnt take too much work to overcome that...

 

Then go out and get yourself a GSX

 

Yeah the eclipse and Evo are identical twins separated at birth.

 

com'mon GST and GSX use EVO3's 4G63 and seriously detuned.

Talk about 4 generations of differences.
