what to do...
what to do...
so to make a long story short... I go into my local
dealership today to look at the bby Evo8 I've been contemplating buying and I notice that the up front price on all their evos is pretty much down to invoice. yes, invoice... not complaining here. my question is, do you think i should still haggle? Does anybody know how much the kickback was that the
dealers got for keeping evos on their lots this long? just checking. anyway, I'll probably be getting an evo tomorrow. thanks in advance for the info.

You should buy the car. There aint crap that the dealer is going to get in kickback, and there's no way that they're going to go lower than invoice.
Why must everyone always think that there's more room to go when someone says there isn't?

Kickback is usually 2%-3% of the car, depending on manufacturer, and I don't know Mitsu's numbers.
Usually you have to really really fight the dealer on a car that they really really want to get rid of OR there has to be some sort of Manufacturer-to-dealer incentive to get under invoice.
And I don't know for sure, but I can't imagine either happening to the Evo right now.
Happy shopping.
