How do you guys modify it? I've been wanting the JDM rear but havent gotten one due to the fact the rear support doesnt fit.

LOL modify what the crash beam or the retainer clip to install the rear bumper. see this pic below if its the crash beam look how it stands up like its on a T-stand it needs to be flush basically to fit under if you use the usdm crash bar

now as for install the jdm rear i just made a brand new and improved guide how to install this complete with a TON of pics etc. Its a sticky like second one in the list you can check that out for retainer clip modding. just make sure you allow yourself some time to install this rear bumper took me 6 hours to do it. It was my first time and I DID it myself no help.

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Driving without a crash bar is unwise. It will turn a 5 mph bump into a $1500 mistake.

Does any one have any pictures of their modified crash beams so I can see exactly what needs to be done?

Thanks

This is what constantly keeps me from the JDM rear. IDK how to modify the damn thing, and ever since someone rearended my sister Benz, I dont trust driving without a crashbeam :/

mod oem. I found rather more rust than I was happy with between the bumper beam attachment plates and the rear of the car beams. Note this is an 06 socal garaged car. Rustoleum for now, imagine a gasket is needed at this location.

modified OEM took all of 2 min to cut off the old brackets and then just put long screws with washers on them through the original holes
