Sounds about right..

Oh.. The only concern I had about tapping the boost gauge into where the regulator was is if your hose ever popped off, it could effect fuel delivery (Our cars have a rising rate fuel regulator) and I was concerned that it could cause a problem if that happened.

I've had the boost gauge connector break or come off on two occasions, and with the Diverter Valve, the worst thing that happened is the car wouldn't hold boost over 14psi and made a funny BOV noise more like a poorly adjusted aftermarket one..

WannaRace, mine does the same as yours. but mine does read zero when the car is off. when i bought mine, the gauge read 1 psi, but the guy who installed it fixed it, and it read zero after that.

Is my gauge reading above 20 in/hg at idle working correctly?

Also can you explain in detail what was the problem when your car couldn't boost over 14 psi. I have this exact problem and I made a post about it. I checked everything and I'm stumped.

Southern Crane,
Do you know the correct way to fix this? What's your vacuum at idle and decel?
