Anything I should kno before I buy a Evo ?

Hey guys,
I finally decided to get away from hondas and buy myself a Evo VIII. Brfore I do however, does anyone have any positive or negative feedback about this car.

i like the black or silver. but after browsing the board i noticed the silver is having some issues w/ rust, so i guess black

Just don't smoke the clutch. They are a little on the soft side and they will heat up easy and you will smell it so just be carefull. That is probably the best advise I can give you other than break it in correctly. Have fun!

No clear coat on the red killed it for me. So I got the black.

If you equip yourself with a stainless clutch line from Alamo or LancerShop and install it after break-in, you should be good to go as far as clutch longevity goes. Just don't drop it at 7k from a dead stop and you should be fine.

Oh, don't forget to remove the restrictor valve & spring from the solenoid, too. You won't be disappointed.
