difference between 8-9
If you plan on having a 35r car i would go with the 8 9s are cool ive owned both but for tuning rather have the 8 imo both nice cars you will spend less money on the 8

ok there we go. so the 8's are better from the tuning aspect of things. the mivc is making tuning harder i guess? i know the slowbalt 2.4's with vvt suck compared to us 2.0 s/c's with no vvt

this has been done to death. a thread just like this was locked a few days ago.
9 has a different front bumper, headlights and taillights, new wheel design as well. seats got the black suede vs the blue centers, fake carbon fiber on the dash. center section on the wing is carbon fiber vs the entire wing for 03-05.
evo IX has acd as well as mivec and revised turbo with 10.5 hotside (05 ev8 had 10.5 hotside and acd) a metal diverter valve.
i may have missed something here or there, but thats it. next time search as all this info is readily available.

Anyway you look at it man....it's still an evo. The best evo is 9 se "all business" no bs 6gear. If you want the basic evo get an 03' gsr. If you want acd get an 04'-05'. Just get something you will enjoy making a payment on for a few years.

This one has the SSL which consists of the "upgraded" infinity sound system, leather seating and a sunroof. It also was the heaviest IIRC. Make sure when you are ready to pull the trigger to get some info about the car and ask the locals in the Pittsburgh thread. Someone usually knows something about any evo up for sale in the area. Although, this one is in OH..... Oh an BTW, there is a reason that it is hard to find a 9 - that should say something
