No one knows the minute or the hour when the time placed upon our lives will come to an end. To say that things of this nature happens for a reason is a way of giving each of us solace and comfort due to the fact that some things highlight the fact that we are human and must answer to Someone that is greater that we will ever be. This is tragic and one thing that it teaches us is that when we truly weigh the situations we face in life the question we struggle to answer is “what is really important enough to waste time on”. Time will do what time does and life will move on but my heart goes out to his family. I’ve seen the effects of this firsthand because I’ve lost comrades in combat and their memory will forever live on. I don’t believe that his family will take the time to read all of the compassion contained on this thread but for those of you that knew Kevin firsthand and know his family, we have to do all that we can to make this devastating time as comfortable and realistically possible. The willingness to auction his car is an awesome idea and the future owner definitely has to represent what Kevin stood for.
