just a question about evo

is it ok to drive the evo during the break in period for a extended period of time, at highway speeds?? for more then 4-5 hours at a time or even more

If you keep changing your speed. It's not ever a good idea to keep it at the same engine RPM the entire time. During break-in, if you could even vary it ~ 2-3k rpms.

One of the best parts about breaking it in was the anticipation of being able to rev to 7k without worry. So until then I just boosted to 5k and called it a day.

When i was on the highway, i would cruise around at 70, let the boost kick in, bring it up to about 85 or 90, let it drop again, spool up again, etc. I'm sure that was decent, I rarely over revved, esp. in 5th gear. Hard to do on the HWY without getting nervous. Back roads in the middle of BFE...no biggie.

Just a question....what is the official recommended break in time for an EVO? I read the manual and I found nothing about break in procedures.....any info would be much appreciated.

Just take it easy during the first 500+ miles. Don't overrev and launch hard. Most important, don't go to racetrack or anticipate on road racing.
