that guage sounds pretty cool if it works like it says it does. Anybody have this guage yet if not i might get it to check it out if it very effective. Would be nice to pratice before going to the local drag and putting down sorry times if your not ready.
I ordered the D-PIC last night from maperformance vendor on here.
I'll install it when it comes in and let you know. Plus wiring is a breeze.
I agree, it would be great for practice launches and for those who don't live close to drag strips.

cij911 - great info, thanks, i might also buy an oil pressure gauge and i'll keep and relocate the stock oil temp gauge. I don't think the AEM UEGO gauge has triggers and alarms. I think the ECU has its own sensors for protection, so I don't think it's necessary to wire them to the ECU.

Hey Evo1001, let us know how that D-PIC works for you. It does look pretty cool if its actually accurate.

IMO on a boosted car. Boost and Wideband are the two most important gauges you can have.
Next to that oil pressure is a biggie IMO, although chances of losing oil pressure are slim. EGT is ok to have, but if you have a wideband, not ness needed. I usually only looked at mine on hard long highway pulls

this being said, anyone have opinions on the AEM digi gauges? I was looking at the AEM boost gauge since it reads over 30psi which is nice. Just curious how fast to react it will be. I bought my car with a bootleg Megan Boost gauge and AEM Uego and one slot open. i was thinking the AEM boost and Oil pressure to complete my pod

Get the oil pressure guage it is a very good thing to have, you dont want to screw up your bearings.

A wideband monitors your AFR (air fuel ratio)....Once you starting modifying your Evo, using a wideband to tune the car is essential....Some could argue that once you tune the car, you really don't need the wideband....

D-PIC gauge came in today. Installed it in < 5 minutes. Looks pretty cool, very bright, it dims when you turn on your headlights, so it's good at night.
It shows real-time acceleration (G's) in all directions (default to front and back). pretty cool.
I haven't had time to play with the 0-60, 1/4 mile, horsepower features yet, but I will really soon. The gauge panel fits great, it doesn't even need to be painted, altough I had to bend a metal bracket inside the dash for the third gauge (on the right) to fit, but no big deal at all.
In 2 days I'm going to Buschur to get my car tuned. I'm curious to see how close the gauge hp reading is compared to the dyno reading.

I just put in oil pressure, egt, and boost in mine and don't think the oil pressure is working right. it idles at 20-40psi and when I press the pedal it climbs and tops out every time i boost. anyone know what is wrong or is that normal??

I am running valvoline synpower 5-30. any suggestions?? this is my dream car and am new to this type of stuff.

I would go with the oil or wideban gauge. but that is me. I don't know much so I ask my buddy that knows way more.

Your oil pressure will be ~30 psi (or even lower) while idling and ~90psi while driving....

IMO it should stay solid in load as long as your oil pump is up to par

Last time I had an oil pressure gauge was on my ITR Turbo and it would hold solid in full boost and on cruise. Fluctuation to me means the oil pump is not handling the load
