It wasn't malicious, the cops were called and my insurance co seems to be ok with everything, no tickets...

The guy I hit was on a test drive in an '09 Acura TL, so he was pretty mellow about everything...kept saying how nice my car was....

Yeah its because of these dummys we gotta drive defensively.. too many times I would've been hit in my Evo if I didn't bust an evasive maneuver

Ouch, sorry to hear about that. The exact same thing happened to me about 5 years ago, except it was me in the GST and some hooker in a minivan.

i hate it when people won't turn right on red. also when people don't "claim the intersection" when making a left - Pull Out Dummy! then go when the light turns red.

hope it alll goes well, but i had a similar problem
New years eve, on my way to work, in snow storm, Verizon truck pulls in front of me from a driveway in a rush, and quickly sees that he has come to a red light and slams on breaks

when he pulled out i tryed to downshift and everything, but the snow won that one
he got a bent hook
i got dead bumper, hood
2008 really left a mark lol

Just a quick update:

Looks like damage was a bit more extensive then I had orginally thought. Got to take a look at it while it was being checked out by the insurance company. It's gonna need a front bumper cover, intercooler, crash bar, crash bar supports and paint, minimum...thank god for insurance..

Looks like it's gonna cost just under 3g's to fix it all... Oh well, thats why I have insurance on it. Props to Progressive for making it easy. Hopefully it'll be back to me by Friday....please...please!?!?!

So sorry to hear that. I did the same thing a while ago. I was behind someone at a right turn. They started going, I looked left... completely clear so I just hit the gas. Turns out they had started and stopped for really no reason and I barely tapped them but messed up this crap saturn i drove around in high school. Luckily the driver was a diplomat and just told me my government would pay for it anyway (the joys of living in DC! Although, I still don't really know why our tax dollars are funding his car repairs)
