One word...Karma. Whomever hit you will pay 10 fold.

 

Hit and run is considered vandalism. Vandalism and acts of nature are to be covered by your insurance company with no deductible payment from you. Hopefully you got a police report on this one. If you did, call your insurance company and tell them that you just found out that it was covered by your policy.

This should be aplicable with all insurance companies. I don't think they can change what is mandated and out of your hands such as this. My insurance company told me that I can turn in up to 4 "act of nature/vandalism" claims per year without ever having to pay a deductible or my premium ever increasing.
