Questions about int lights and gauge cluster dimmness
I wasnt sure where to post this, and its not a huge thing, but bugs the hell outta me.
I noticed that since I got my Evo, that the gauge cluster and interior lights are very dim. Obviously the first thing i checked is that the pot (dimmer switch) was working. Its set to high and I can dim them down, so it does work.
I asked the prev owner for ****s and giggles if he touched the int lights at all or put resistors on or something but he said no.
Can anyone check what kinda of resistance their dimmer switch gives them on full high and full low?
A shot in the dark here, but Im thinking mine is having more resistance and causing the lights to be dimmer then normal. I would think it would be an all or nothing deal, but this is the best theory I can come up with

Im not sure about having more resistance causing dimmer lights, but if your cluster/interior lights aren't bright enought for you. You can always PM Curt@LED (i think
) for some super dooper blind your passenger LEDs

well the reason i think this is because a dimmer switch as far as I know is just a potentiometer. Basically is an adjustable resistance dial to determine how much power will flow through the circuit.
Hence more resistance = less light output
i dont wanna dump money into my gauge cluster. Im just curious because I know this is not right. My friend said his are retarded bright and I can barely freaking see mine turned all the way up. .
If someone could check the resistance of theirs, that would prob help me greatly.
