Clutch questions
so last night my clutch started to slip, so its time for a new one. i have a couple questions. should i take it to a dealer to get it worked on or should i go somewhere else? how much will it cost? and should i get a stock clutch or should i go to an aftermarket clutch? if aftermarket i was thinking about the exedy stage 1 organic clutch kit. wondering of anyopne has opinnions on that. oh and i have an 05 mr with 23k miles
Do not go to the dealer to get the work done they will way over charge you!, find a good shop near you that knows how to work on evo's, even if its 2 or 3 hours away! have the work done there, now about staying with your stock clutch or not, you can order you stock clutch again from lancer shop, the plus side to this is you will keep what ever remanding time you have left on your warranty, but this is the only plus because this clutch isent gonna last any longer then the first stock one has, if your gona go aftermarket alot of people seem to like the act street disk this clutch will hold and last alot longer than stock!! hope this helps!
i wanted to get an exedy twin disc, but thats $. i also got a quote for $750 for a clutch change, but my freind told me he knew a spot where he did his clutch for 400 on his evo with no problems
