guage question

ok, im replacing my factory 3 guage cluster (volts, boost, oil temp) for better guages.... im getting auto meter sport comps (boost, oil temp, oil pressure).... heres my questions

1. can i use all existing wiring from the factory boost guage for the new one?

2.is the factory oil temp guage an electric or a mechanical? i need to know which guage to get

3. how difficult is it to install a mechanical oil pressure guage? are there any extra fittings ill have to buy? where do i tap into??

thank you ahead of time

i think you can reuse boost, but have to run and install lines for everything else, including oil temp.

1. yes you can. Hook the positive wire of the gauge to either the ignition wire (red wire). your gauge will be on whenever the ignition is on. You can hook it up to the yellow wire and it will turn on only when u turn on your headlights. Ground is black wire.
2. the oil temp gauge you are buying will come with its own sensor wiring, so you will not be able to use the existing mitsu sensor wiring (so i heard). You can still use the ignition wire and ground wires to hook it up.
Also, check out the gruppe-s gauge panel. I'm very happy with it.

Good luck.
