Why would you need another tach? They centered the stock one and it's over 5 inches across.

Yeah, who needs another tach, but a shiftlight by itself would be very welcome.

I think tach is not the most important, but shift light and warning buzz is the most important.

I found my car is easily accelerate over the redline and hit the fuel cut. If you really not concentrating on the tach, this incident will happen. A bright warning light and buzz will help.

Anyone has a Defi tach installed? I'm leaning toward Defi since I try to stick with my Defi setup.

I will be buying the Shift light - personally i feel it is a great mod to improve driving ability and also help extend the life of the motor etc... Just as common as a TT for the car...

I just don't see the point of the huge monster tach with the moon sized shift light that blnds the world when you need to shift...

I used an MSD RPM Activated switch, attached to an autometer (Pencil sized) shiftlite (basically just a light).. The advantage of using an RPM activated switch is you can hook it up to any indicator you want, a light, a buzzer, etc..

And I honestly wouldn't classify a Shift light in the same sentence as a Turbo Timer.. I personally think a turbo timer is for the lazy and careless (no offense to those who have it), but it doesn't serve much of a real purpose for me..

I just comparing to how common the use is to one another... They are both there to help the driver from a convience point of view...

Why get a shift light, it a light that says your eyes a trip down to look at the tach to shift... and you think a turbo timer is for lazy people... They are both great tools to make owning an evo a great experience...

I love my Evo...

I just bought one of those sequential rev-lite’s. It's pretty cool and for $69 it's a bargain! Last weekend I did some very spirited driving on a very twisty "closed course". There was absolutely no way for me to take my eyes off the road so I was shifting based on engine pitch. Not bad, but the lights will be a big improvement.
I plan to change the LED's so that they sweep from green to yellow to red.
