Cracked exhaust manifold

Hey guys I have a after market manifold and it is cracking in the area of the welds close to the section that connects to the down pipe.

This is the second one with the same problem. I also removed the grill thingy whee the vent is thus maybe more water is pouring in (I live in Dominica rains alot)

A fried of mine got the same issue with a high price manifold. Our roads are very bumpy (uneven)

Any one with the same issues and idea how to solve this.

Should I go back to my cast stock manifold (do not say yes)

this is a common problem for tubular manifolds. what you could try is get the crack repaired and then at the same time add some support braces. but of course if you do not want to encounter this issue again you could just switch back to a cast manifold. just get it ported and it will perform just as good or even better than a tubular manifold.

I've seen people use a shield, like the stock one, but mostly as a "stealth" mod. Something like that might work for you. I'm assuming you're getting good quality mani's as well that aren't prone to cracking. g/l, that sucks man.

*edit - btw, I mentioned the shield if rain is the root cause of your issues.

I'd say go with the stock ported manifold.
