Talking Just got my new EVO8

So sweet cant wait to open her up, can anyone tell me the best method of breaking in the car?

I usually use a crowbar and go straight for the windows. But why would you wanna do that? Didn't the dealer give you the keys?

J/K. Do a search on break in and you'll find what you need. Very controversial subject.

It was late and the room that had my extras keys and other things were locked in, i guess the dude left early. Ill get it tommorow.

And like David said, some people say go easy on the car (no boost and keep it under 4K rpm for 600 miles) and others say beat the snot out of it from the get go.

i didnt go past 5k

but i did boost

I let 2 guys drive mine that had evos and they said that mine pulled harder than theirs. That was before i had mods

Also I would seriously consider changing to regular non-synthetic oil and run it for a couple thousand miles.

Thxs alot guys, and i will follow those instructions, I am going back today to pick up my extra set of keys and the manuals aswell, do they show you a video or anything like that.

The warranty would only be voided if the problem could be attributed to running non-synthetic oil, which is very unlikely. Also, after a filter and oil change, it would be near impossible to tell that you had used it.
