Guess what happened to me?
Guess what happened to me?
Well today started out like any other day. Went to the post office, broke up with my girlfriend (she was a B**** anyways), and then this... F***, this is the last time I have someone help me with my car. I bolted up the passenger side & my soon to be dead friend did the driver side. You just can't trust anyone to do things right anymore. The bolt that holds the knuckle fell off.
No wonder last night while driving home i heard something hit my car. Does anyone know where I can buy a new CV boot and bolt without having to go to the dealer? I need it asap.
Edited on 5/21/09. I cant blame him. I can only blame myself. It is my car and I should have given everything a look over.

Seen it happen a few times on other cars when people threw away the cotter pin instead of reinstalling it. Sucks but at least you did not have the car drag on the road and **** your frame (seen that too)
Eww. That sucks. You know, you can tell us if it was really you and not a friend. No need to front. Just kidding. Back on topic - try Pep Boys or a local auto store to you. They should be able to get you something in a comparable size, if not they have some "universals" that you can get to work if you find the right kind. They'll have the clamps and lube - everything you should need.

No, I am serious about me friend doing that side. Luckily it happened at the corner of my block. Ran home got my big jack and reattached the knuckle with a smaller bolt. I had to push my car all the way home. Now I have to put my CF fenders back on.
Sometimes it pays to have certain parts professionally installed...guaranteed work. Are you claiming insurance for the body damage? Good luck with the repair. It will look as good as new since there is absolutely no frame damage.
