I've had my niece in my Evo a few times, she is 1yr old now. She absolutly loves riding in it! She grabs the sides of her car-seat as if she's holding on with a huge smile on her face. When I hit boost the smile goes wider and she is loving it!

She knows a few sign language motions and after I boost she gives me the signal for "more".

I mean Evo's even have the baby-seat hook in the middle of the back seat, it was made to be able to hold them. As long as you don't have extremely stiff suspension and/or an EXTREMELY loud exhaust I'd say any baby is going to be just fine.

You could get a quiet muffler and cat, route your BOV back into the exhaust stream, etc, but then why have the car?

Evo's have terrible side impact crash ratings. I wouldn't trust my child in one if it was my daily driver.

I tote my 6 year old son around the evo and he loves it. Back when he was a baby I toted him around a 95 Civic HB w/ a loud as exhaust w/ coil overs and the exhaust humming would knock his little *** out.

WARNING

Not sure it was mentioned here, but the Evo 9 suspension is suited to the little peoplel, I understand the Evo 8 setup will harm or damage babies, I'm guessing 4 and under? The ride is too jarring to their developing skeletons and maybe brain development too. No joke folks.

If its too loud it could bother the ears. Other than that the Recaro baby seats are comfy and solid and should be enought support.

link? proofs? I'd love to see some documentation on this. granted I've got aftermarket springs and IX struts, but I still find this hard to swallow.

I understand peoples concern for their kids, but I mean, geeze, i used to sleep up in the parcel shelf in the back window. Hell we used the back of my friends mom's station wagon as a toy room.

If your worried about being too loud, well you dont have to be loud to be fast.

You can either make your current exhaust quiet or buy a quieter 3" non tapering exhaust.

The top link in my sig shows you how to make it quieter or the bottom link is for my quieted Buschur V-band style turbo back exhaust for sale . But your car is an evo 8 so my 9 downpipe wont fit your car.
