3000 mi service?
3000 mi service?
I just got a letter from the dealer I purchased from (not in my area) and it said I was due for a 3000 mi service. Is that right? My owners manual is at work, thought I'd ask here.
Thanks

At 3K miles, you're due to change some fluids.
You don't have to get that from a dealer, but if it's convenient, and you trust the local dealer, it wouldn't hurt to show them that you haven't modded the car.
(unless you have).
You do have to get it done, in order to protect your warranty. (Not to mention to protect the car.)
I'm actually surprised that the EVO's first fluid change isn't until 3K. Most new cars I've owned in the past wanted fluid changes much earlier, to flush out all the little metal flakes that wear off the new parts during break-in.
