Optilux 55w 12v yellow bulbs?

Anyone use these?? I was considering ditching the oem fog bulb for the yellow bulb, I want to see if I like the yellow look on my own car.

I'd personally splurge a bit more and get actual HIDs.

I have yet to see a bulb that shines any other color but the whitest hue that a normal halogen gives you unless the glass is tinted....and if its tinted regardless of what they CLAIM from the seller....its almost always fades over time. If you want truly bright yellow bulbs then you will need to go with something like 3000K hid kit. Of course you need to either retrofit or aim down so you don't blind other motorists.....this is just my personal opinion though.....I'm sure there are those that will disagree.

I think bulbs are fine, but I've never heard of that brand. I'm using PIAAs and they do the job for me. Maybe a 3000K HID kit would look better, but I can't believe it be that much better to justify the expense and install.

^GPT are those PIAAs in the picture? Those don't look too bad really. I know the PIAA Plasma Ion Yellow bulbs have a nice yellow-ish/blue-ish tint to them but never ran them personally.

No problem. But if anyone does have a 3000K HID kit, I'd love to see what it looks like for comparison's sake.

If I get my car back next week I will post pics for comparision. I got a kit from a online vendor I dealt wit hfor my motorcycle....Kits were quality so I decided to try them out for my car. I think I went overkill on the HID's though. Aside from the stock HID system I got 6000k for the highbeams and 3000k for the foglights.

I had thought about getting some goofy color for the fogs, like 8000K or up, because I don't think they do me much good down here, just for looks, but then I thought might as well keep it functional. Lexuses look good with them so I decided to go with yellow. I thought about highbeams but ruled it out as I hardly EVER use them and they don't react fast enough for flash to pass.

Oh yea I was planning on def going with an HID kit, reason I wanted to do regualr halogen bulbs at first was because I just wanted to see if Id like the yellow light, and then I was gonna upgrade to a 3000k hid kit if I liked it.

Most OEM cars with really yellow Fog's (Lexus IS300 and GS come to mind), look sick with really yellow fogs.

I know I have seen pics. I bet a search would find them.

IMO that is overkill, but to each their own. I wouldn't do HIDs for the highs just because I don't need to/can't use my high beams for an extended amount of time and the warm-up phase would kill the practicality.
