you can relocate the radio to where the cubby is, then mount up to three gauges in the stock radio position. 42draftdesigns and others sell mounting plates for this. The radio relocation kit is from Mitsu. Search, there are lots of threads with pix of this.

What gauges do you plan on ordering? 52mm/60mm? You can check mitsubishiparts.net and get a radio relocation kit and maybe get the HVAC panel with gauge cutoffs from Gruppe-S or something.

Personally, I prefer steering column mounts. although it's limited to 2 gauges, I find most street driven turbocharged cars need only egt and boost. Plus it's a simpler install.

The radio relocation is an odd line of sight and adds more parts with moving the stereo. Not my favorite.

The dash pods are great for people that have track or show cars. Be sure you know EXACTLY what gauges you want to use in it because that double sided tape "should" be replaced every time you want to change something. I've seen them come flying off in hi g situations. With electric gauges, just one wire will be sticking out. I wouldn't drill a hole in the dash for the wire if you ever plan to sell the car later down the road.

I use A-Pillar mounts on mine. Wires are hidden and a easier install for me.
